Wellbeing refers to how we feel emotionally, mentally and physically. It's subjective and can be influenced by our background, health, and personal likes and dislikes. The main focus of wellbeing is that you are as comfortable, happy and supported as possible.
A caring role can be a source of both improved and declined wellbeing. Life-altering change is a shared reality within caring and can take a toll on us mentally, physically and emotionally — alongside the burden of carer admin, behaviour that challenges, and worries about the future of a caring role.
The Wellbeing Service, delivered by Carers in Bedfordshire for Bedfordshire and Luton carers, aims to improve carers' mental health in a holistic way — helping you understand your emotions and learn coping mechanisms to process them. As part of the service, we offer 1-2-1 support and free, accessible online resources.

1-2-1 wellbeing sessions and online resources to support carers across Luton and Bedfordshire.
The Wellbeing Service can offer six to eight 45-minute sessions, facilitated in person, online via Zoom, or face to face in our office at Bedford Heights, MK41 7PH.
The aim of these sessions is to help carers identify, acknowledge and understand how to manage their emotions — giving you a safe, confidential space to talk about what's going on.
